How to use the Fentanyl (FYL) Test Strip?

• Test Preparation: Ensure the test strip is at room temperature (59-86ºF or 15-30ºC) and remove the test strip from sealed pouch.
• Urine Specimen Collection: Collect a urine sample in a clean, dry specimen container. Urine samples can be donated at any time of day. For best results, test urine immediately.
• If necessary, urine can be refrigerated (2-8ºC) for up to 48 hours or frozen for extended storage. Allow the urine sample to reach room temperature before testing.

Conducting the Test:

Immerse the Rapid FYL Test Strip in the urine sample with the arrow pointing downward for 10 seconds. Ensure the urine level does not exceed the MAX marker.

How To Read Fentanyl Drug Test Results:

Positive (+)

A rose-pink band appears only in the “control” region (C). No apparent colored band appears in the test region (T)

Negative (-)

Two rose-pink bands appear in both the “control” (C) and “test” (T) regions

Invalid

No band appears in the “control” (C) region, or a band appears only in the “test” (T) region. This indicates the test was not performed correctly; please retest with a new strip. Results from any test that has not produced a control band at the specified read time must be discarded.
